Golders Hill Park, W Heath Ave, London NW11 7QP, UK – 020 7332 3511
My dad used to take me here as a child. It's got tennis courts, animals, and a children's park. It is really beautiful in places. Definitely worth a walk through. Be mindful this is a gated park so check timings. Parking can be a nightmare in places and certain times of week/day. Bring coin for pay machines.
Lovely park for families and just to be alone. Free small butterfly house. You can feed the ducks and see a few animals at the small zoo. Children's play area is very well maintained and the lawns are lovely. The onsite cafe is very good but the food is served piping hot so be careful with littles ones. Public toilets are clean but old fashioned.
The Pergola, Inverforth Cl, Hampstead, London NW3 7EX, UK – 020 7332 3322
A lovely hidden gem in London. It is very quiet and has a spectacular view overlooking heath. This is must go place if you like gardens and if you are in London. Just enjoy the beautiful hill garden and make sure you don't spoil the quietness in here. I recommend this place. Thank you.
This is a beautiful hidden gem that deserves more attention (but I secretly hope it remains quiet so as to not become overcrowded!). Not only is it secluded and peaceful, but the architecture is amazing. It doesn't matter what time of year it is; it looks beautiful. It's definitely worth a visit!
Hampstead Grove, Hampstead, London NW3 6SP, UK – 020 7435 3471
Nice house, although absolutely full of seemingly unrelated stuff. I know this isn't the case but it was a bit difficult to understand how it all tied together, who lived there and how they lived there on a day to day basis, as everything seemed to be focused on display, not living. The gardens were gorgeous though. It was worth visiting for those on a sunny day alone. The Gardener seemed really friendly and I enjoyed listening to him chat on with visitors while he worked.
Lovely house in the heart of Hampstead, now owned by the National Trust. Three floors of rooms to see and a collection of rare old musical instruments. Lovely garden, which we were told is the largest garden in Hampstead. Don't miss the view towards the city from the 3rd floor balcony.
